Information on the Philippine Football Peace Cup

The same association offered the hosting to the PFF which duly accepted. The competition was initially planned to be renamed the Paulino Alcantara Cup and was originally scheduled to be hosted by the city of Bacolod.
The change of venue to the Rizal Memorial, according to media reports, was to facilitate television coverage. On the other hand, the competition’s new name is in support of the celebration of the National Peace Consciousness Month.
